Ather Energy has once again expanded its portfolio with new range of electric scooters in India. The company has this time introduced three new electric scooter models in the country. Two of the new Ather electric scooters models have debuted in the Ather 450X lineup and the third variant is dubbed Ather 450S. Both the new Ather 450S and Ather 450X electric scooters have been launched with upgraded features including security features. Starting with the Ather 450S, the brand has announced this budget-friendly electric scooter with a 5.4 kW electric motor. It is claimed to produce a peak torque of 22Nm and can accelerate from 0-40 kmph within 3.9 seconds.
Ather has used a 2.9 kWh battery pack inside the Ather 450S electric scooter model. This variant can deliver a riding range of 115 km on a single charge. Speaking of additional set of features, the Ather 450S electric scooter has a large 7-inch DeepView digital display which shows all the relevant ride date.
A joystick control is added on the left handle that helps with navigating the functions on the screen. For suspension, the Ather 450S is equipped with twin telescopic suspension system at the front, while at the rear, it features mono suspension.

Moving on to the Ather 450X, it has been launched in two different variants. One of the Ather 450X electric scooter model is packed woth a 2.9kWh battery pack, whereas, the second variant packs a slightly bigger 3.7 kWh battery pack. The battery capacity is the primary difference in the new Ather 450X electric scooter lineup.
The base variant can deliver a riding range of 111 km per charge and the hogh-end Ather 450X will offer 150 km per charge riding range. Both the Ather 450X models use the same 6.4 kW motor which can produce a peak torque of 26Nm. The Ather 450X electric scooter models can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.
To further enhance the security, Ather has integrated a FallSafe feature in both Ather 450S and the Ather 450X electric scooter models. This is dedicated security feature that can detect fall or crashes.
Ather 450S, Ather 450X Price In India
The Ather 450S updated model is launched at Rs. 1,29,999 in India. The Ather 450X with a smaller 2.9Kwh battery pack is priced at Rs. 1,37,999, while the high-end 450X with 3.7 kWh battery pack is announced at Rs. 1,44,999 in India.
