Auto Expo 2023 Updates: Hyundai Unveils Ioniq 5 Electric Car With A Whopping 631KM Range

Auto Expo, the biggest automobile event is just a few weeks away and most of the automotive giants have started sharing teasers of their upcoming cars and EVs. Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and others are also gearing up for the Auto Expo 2023 event. Hyundai has also unveiled a new EV called the Ioniq 5 which will be made official during the upcoming Auto Expo 2023. The pre-bookings for the E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform)-based Hyundai electric car will also begin shortly. Let’s quickly dive into the details what all features this latest Hyundai Electric car offers.

Starting with the engine specs, the Ioniq 5 electric car is the company’s first Electric-Global Modular platform-based electric car that is equipped with a 72.6kWh battery capacity. The latest Hyundai electric car is capable of delivering around 214bhp of maximum power output. Furthermore, the peak torque capacity offered by this electric car is 350Nm.

Hyundai has also added fast charging capabilities to the Ioniq 5 electric car. As per the company claims, it can get charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. A 350kW DC charge will be aiding with the fast-charging speeds. The Ioniq 5’s dual electric motors are integrated within the front and rear axles allowing it to reach from zero to 100 percent within 5.2 seconds.

Moving on to the design, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes with 4,635mm x 1890mm x 1,625 mm in dimensions (length, width, and height). The wheelbase of Ioniq 5 spreads at 3000mm. Inside, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 features a Dark Pebble Grey interior theme that looks all premium when combined with the two large 12.3-inches screens. The Ioniq 5 is integrated with an eight-speaker Bose-sourced music system.

Speaking of security features, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 features siz airbags, ABS with EBD, VESS, EPB, and MCB. All four brakes are disc. The Ioniq 5 comes in Matte Gravity Gold, Midnight Black Pearl, and Optic White color options.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric Car Price In India: Key Features

Hyundai has currently not shared any details related to the pricing of the Ioniq 5 electric car. However, the bookings commence today with a deposit amount of Rs. 1 lakh. The Ioniq 5 will be breaking covers officially at the Auto Expo 2023 and the availability details will be confirmed then.
