BMW has just unveiled its second-generation electric coupe called the iX2. The latest edition to BMW’s electric car fleet is is a compact Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) which is loaded with a capable powertrain and joins the existing iX electric car series. The latest BMW iX2 electric coupe comes equipped with a dual-motor system for power delivery. The electric motor collectively churns out a powerful 313hp peak power and 364 LB FT peak torque digits. The new BMW compact Sports Activity Coupe offers an all wheel drive system which makes it capable for city, highway, and also occasional off road drives.
BMW has further packed the new iX2 compact electric crossover with a 64.8kWh battery pack. As per the brand, the iX2 can deliver up to 279 miles or 438 km range with each charge cycle. The battery pack can take charge via different modes that adds to the convenience.
Talking of the charging speeds, the iX2 electric coupe’s battery pack will get a full charge with the standard AC charger within 6.5 hours. There will also be a 22kW three-phase AC charger option using which the electric coupe will take around 4 hours for a full battery charge.
The BMW iX2’s battery will also be compatible with DC fast charging with which it will take around half an hour for a battery refill from 10 to 80 percent. Speaking of the acceleration speeds, the BMW iX2 takes around 5.6-seconds to reach from 0- 96kmph. The top speed attained by the iX2 luxury electric coupe will be around 176 kmph.
