Steps To Permanently Delete WhatsApp Account

Step 1: On your mobile or laptop/PC, open the WhatsApp application.

Step 2: Select the menu option from the app’s homepage (three dots).

Step 3: Tap on the Settings tab.

Step 4: Select the Account option.

Step 5: Scroll down to the “Delete my account” option.

Step 6: Enter the phone number registered with your WhatsApp account. Make sure you enter the country code along with the mobile number. For India, the country code is +91.

Step 7: Now, click on the Delete My Account option. As soon as you perform this step, WhatsApp will initiate the process to delete your account.

Notably, once you delete the account, WhatsApp will complete this process within 90 days. However, your account will be unavailable for other users during this period. Also, deleting your account won’t remove the chat history or media sent to other contacts.
