Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift Arrives With Bigger Battery Pack: Five Key Upgrades

Hyundai has introduced the facelift model of its premium EV called the Ioniq 5. The facelift version brings along a new attire and has an updated battery setup. Exterior Enhancements

The Hundai Ioniq 5 is introduced with a fresh design where the body size has been increased slightly and the front facia has been reworked. The facelift version sports a new front grille and bumper. The rear body has also been reworked and it now gets a wiper at the back. The overall design maintains the aggressive approach which is highlighted by the 20-inch aluminum wheels.

Cabin Enhancements

Besides the exteriors, the cabin has also received fair set of upgrades. The Ioniq 5 facelift is said to offer a quieter cabin which is credited to the improved damping that helps cutting down on the vibrations effectively.

Feature Upgrades

A wide range of features have also been added to the Ioniq 5 facelift model. The dashboard gets dedicated physical keys for the frequently used functions. Passengers will get quick access to variety of features with just a tap such enabling the park assist mode, front-row seat ventilation or heating, and more. Additionally, the infotainment system has been updated with an OTA and now offers several new features.

Powertrain: Primary Upgrades

The biggest mechanical upgrade which the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has received is the inclusion of a bigger battery pack as compared to the standard model. The new facelift version of the Ioniq 5 is packed with an 84 kWh battery which is claimed to provide an extended 631 km range per charge (ARAI-certified).

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift Price

The Hyundai Ionoiq 5 Facelift model is introduced globally with the exact pricing kept under the wraps as of now. Currently, this premium electric SUV’s standard model can be purchased starting at Rs. 45.95 lakh in India. It would be interesting to see how much price difference the facelift model would carry over the standard version.
