At the Auto Expo 2023, Kia showcased the EV9. It seems that Kia is now all set to launch this premium electric SUV in India soon. Kia is expected to strengthen its presence with multiple new electric cars and SUVs next year out of which the EV9 is highly anticipated. Launch Date
The Kia EV9 is making its official debut sometime in 2024 in India. The announcement comes officially from Kia itself. As of now, Kia has only revealed the timeline and not the exact date. But we can assume the brand to spill some more beans in the coming months. We might get some confirmed developments by the first half of 2024.

Expected India Price
The expected pricing for the Kia EV9 in Indian remains unknown at this point. But possible price range could start over 60 lakhs. This is considering the Kia EV6 India price starts in the same bracket and the new variant could come with a similar initial pricing. Do note that this information is purely based on speculations and the exact launch price could be different.

The Kia EV9 has already made its international debut and is possibly coming with the same internals in India too. This 3-door electric SUV will be available in two different variants. The standard variant (fwd) is said to be equipped with a 150kW electric motor.
The Kia EV9 is also said to debut with a RWD option. This variant is said to feature a slightly more powerful 160kW electric motor. The peak torque figures generated by the EV9 stands at 350 Nm.
The EV9 is set to become the second electric model from Kia, following the success of the EV6 and represents a significant step towards capturing a substantial market share in India’s passenger EV segment.

Battery pack powering the Kia EV9 electric SUV measures 99.8 kWh Lithium-ion. This premium EV uses an 800V-architecture which enables fast charging speeds.
The range offered by Kia EV9 is 450km on a single charge. With the fast charging enabled, this electric car can deliver around 230 km range with just 15 minutes of plug-in.
