Kinetic Green has brought back the retro moped Luna in a modern avatar and loaded with an electric powertrain. The Kinetic E-Luna has been introduced in two different variants and a starting price under Rs. 70,000.

Kinetic E-Luna Design

The Kinetic E-Luna is a modern take on the retro moped with certain new-age design elements. The pedals have been chucked out since it has an electric powertrain. The addition of a digital LCD console is another modern take with its appeal. Weighing at 96 kg and up to 150 kg load capacity, the E-Luna electric moped comes as a convenient transport option for all age groups. Notably, the pillion seat on the E-Luna can be removed for storage utility.

The Kinetic E-Luna mounts a hub motor at the mid which produces 2.2 kW of peak power and a peak torque of 22 Nm. This retro-style electric moped comes in two different variants namely X1 and X2. While the motor type is same in both the E-Luna models, the battery capacity is where the difference comes.

The Kinetic E-Luna X1 model has a 1.7 kWh battery which can deliver 80 km range on one full charge. The E-Luna X2 model is packed with a bigger 2 kWh battery pack which offers 110 km range per charge. The affordable electric moped can reach up to 50 kmph top speed. This high speed limit is same for both the models.

The budget electric moped offers several utility features including detachable rear seat, and hooks for carrying small luggage. It includes a USB charging port and a digital LCD instrument cluster that displays important ride metrics, battery status, range, and more. The E-luna also gets a side stand sensor and three different riding modes.

Kineric E-Luna Moped Price

The Kinetic E-Luna X1 variant is priced at Rs. 69,990 (ex-showroom) and the E-Luna X2 model will be sold at Rs. 74,990 (ex showroom). Color options include Pearl Yellow, Mulberry Red, Night Star Black, Ocean Blue, and Sparkling Green.
