Mahindra XUV 3XO EV Productions Kicking Off By November 2024: Debut Set For Later This Year

Mahindra recently revamped the XUV300 as XUV 3XO. The compact SUV arrived as the top contender against the likes of Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Nexon. The ICE variant of the XUV 3XO has been grabbing all the headlines in its league. But seems like Mahindra is now going a step ahead and will soon add the EV variant of the XUV 3XO soon to its portfolio. The internal codename of the XUV 3XO EV model has surfaced along with the anticipated timeline for its production and arrival in the country. Let’s dive into the details below:

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV Production, India Launch Timeframe

As per the online reports, Mahindra will soon be commencing the productions of the XUV 3XO EV in India. The brand is rumored to kick off the production of the upcoming compact e-SUV by November this year itself. It is further being suggested that Mahindra has given an internal codename to the upcoming compact electric SUV model, i.e., S240. While the brand is yet to divulge more information on the XUV 3XO EV’s production and launch timeline, the online reports indicate its debut by the end of 2024.

Furthermore, the reports indicate a set target which Mahindra is aiming for the XUV 3XO EV’s production in the country. Initially, the brand will be producing an approximate of 1,500- 1,800 units per month of the XUV 3XO EV. Collectively, Mahindra is said to produce around 12,000 units of the XUV 3XO ICE and EV variants going forward.

Mahindra XUV 3XO Expected Powertrain And Features

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is expected to borrow the powertrain from the XUV 400 electric base model. The upcoming electric SUV is likely to feature a 34.5 kWh battery pack which also drives the XUV 400 entry-level variant. As of now, the details related to its motor pack and performance are at large. However, with the aforementioned battery pack, it could offer around 350- 280 km range per charge.
