MG Motor India is all set for its 3rd EV launch in India. After the ZS EV and the Comet EV, the brand is set to unveil its first CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle), the Cloud EV next month in the country. Official teasers of the upcoming MG EV has already started doing rounds online with the latest one hinting at a different moniker than the Cloud EV. MG Cloud EV To Be Sold As MG Windsor In India?

MG Motor India has shared yet another teaser for its upcoming EV in India. The company’s latest teaser video comes along with a cryptic message hinting the name of the new EV which apparently is not Cloud EV. The upcoming electric CUV which MG plans to bring to the Indian shores will be the Windsor EV.

This name hasn’t been disclosed by the puzzling teaser rather a recent trademark filing. MG Motor is expected to reveal the name of its third electric vehicle in India on August 5, 2024. As for the final launch, the Windsor electric CUV is expected to make its debut in September this year in India. As per the past leaks and reports, the Windsor EV (aka the Cloud EV) will be launched with a lower starting price tag than the ZS EV and will be another offering in the sub Rs. 20 lakh category.

MG Windor EV Expected Features

The MG Windsor electric SUV will be driven by a front axle mounted single PMSM magnet. It will offer 134 hp od peak power and will be integrated a 37.9 kWh and a 50.6 kWh battery option with up to 460 km maximum range delivery.
