HMD Global has added yet another affordable 5G phone to its portfolio. The Finnish smartphone OEM has now introduced a new G series phone called the Nokia G42 5G. The latest Nokia 5G phone is introduced with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset and 50MP triple rear camera setup under Rs. 15,000 price bracket.

The Nokia G52 5G is an affordable model that runs on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset. The processor is combined Adreno 619 GPU for graphics delivery and up to 6GB RAM for multitasking. The device can handle gaming as well alongside the smooth multitasking with the additional up to 11GB RAM (via virtual RAM feature). The native storage space built inside the Nokia G42 5G is up to 128GB which is further expandable via an external microSD card.
The display offered by the Nokia G42 5G is an LCD panel that is 6.56-inches in size and supports a standard HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. While the screen resolution is standard, the refresh rate is higher at 90Hz. It further delivers a peak brightness of 560 nits and has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for scratch resistivity.
In the imaging department, the Nokia G42 5G features a triple lens rear camera module at the rear. The main sensor packed at the back panel is a 50MP lens aided by a pair of 2MP for depth mapping and bokeh shots. The handset features an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calling. Connectivity aspects include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It has an USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The battery pack is a 5,000 mAh unit combined with 20W fast charging.

The Nokia G42 5G comes in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration for which you need to spend just Rs. 12,599. The color options include So Pink, So Grey, and So Purple. The affordable Nokia G series phone is going up for sale starting September 15 in India and will be available via e-commerce platform Amazon.
