Ola did emerge as one of the popular electric scooter brand in India in short span. But it appears the fame’s short lived too. The reason is the numerous customer complaints reported with faulty Ola e-scooters and bad after sales services. But out of all, the frequent fire accidents associated with Ola electric scooters have been raising concerns amongst the customers and now the government too. A show cause notice and an audit on Ola’s service centers have been dictated by the Indian government. Amidst all this fiasco, yet another fire accident related to Ola e-scooter has been reported. And what’s more troubling is the incident being reported right outside from an authorized Ola showroom. What’s the case this time and what response Ola has? Find out below:

Ola E-Scooter Catches Fire Outside Showroom

A new post is doing rounds on microblogging website revealing how an Ola-badged electric scooter caught fire. The incident happened right outside company’s showroom in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The post has been shared by Lavanya Ballal Jain (a Congress Spokesperson) that reads, “Just another fiery day in the life of an Ola scooter owner.”

Soon after the incident made it to the social media platforms, netizens started trolling Ola Electric. The company’s CEO (Bhavish Aggarwal) also have received huge backlashes from the customers and the public for its faulty electric scooters and repeated fire incidents. Some of the users even trolled the brand and the CEO asking if this is the preparation for Diwali or some new Diwali feature being offered with Ola electric scooters.

Any Response From Ola?

On the specific matter, Ola is yet to share any official response. However, Ola’s CEO earlier claimed over 99 percent of the issues with Ola e-scooters have been resolved for which he received huge backlashes. The company is yet to give a formal response to the CCPA on this matter and it remains to be seen what move it brings to address all these concerns.
