Ola Electric has been at the forefront in the E2W segment with its S1 e-scooter lineup. Now, the company is set to revolutionize the two wheeler electric market with industry’s first autonomous e-scooter, the Ola Solo. CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal has himself shared developments surrounding the brand’s next innovation in the electric two wheeler market.

Ola Solo Autonomous Electric Scooter Teased

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took to microblogging platform X to announce the brand’s first autonomous electric scooter called Solo. Sharing a note ‘Not just an April fools joke, Aggarwal confirmed the latest developments surrounding the upcoming self driving e-scooter.

In one of the previous posts, OLA India CEO share the first glimpse of the self-driving e-scooter and also revealed some of its highlights. The Solo, as per the teasers, will be a fully autonomous e-scooter which will have self-driving capabilities. Ola will also use AI technology for an adaptive traffic management for this smart scooter.

Ola Solo Self-Driving Autonomous E-Scooter Key Highlights

Ola Solo autonomous electric scooter is said to integrate a custom in-house chip called LMA09000 to enable AI capabilities. Combined with the JU-GUARD adaptive algorithm, the Ola Solo will offer an efficient self-driving experience by using adaptive learning method in traffic.

Additionally, Ola will also be equipping the Solo electric scooter with Krutrim AI tech which will enable up to 22 different language support. Ola will also be keeping the safety aspects a prioriry with the Solo autonomous electric scooter and is said to use a facial recognition biometrics. The Ola Solo will be utilizing an advanced 3D mapping technology for the self driving option.

Reality or A Concept?

Ola Solo is still in the concept phase. While the company’s CEO has confirmed working on this tech, it is yet to be clear if the brand will integrate these technologies with its upcoming scooter range or will launch Solo as a standalone product.
