OnePlus 12 is set to debut soon. The next-generation flagship Android smartphone is tipped to make an early debut this year in its home country China. OnePlus is expected to launch the successor to the OnePlus 11 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Amidst all the rumors, OnePlus has shared the camera samples of the OnePlus 12 which hints at an upgraded imaging setup. Separately, a noted Chinese tipster has also tipped the key specs along with the timeline for OnePlus 12 launch. Read all details below:
OnePlus 12 Camera Samples Officially Shared Online: New Camera Upgrade?
Li Jie Louis, OnePlus China’s President, took to the Chinese microblogging website Weibo to share the camera samples of the upcoming OnePlus 12 smartphone. The images clicked by the upcoming OnePlus premium Android smartphone are clicked in a coffee shop highlighting various subjects and background.
The clicked camera samples from the OnePlus 12 are of the same location but the camera capabilities are showcased with the zoomed images detailing the highlights and background. Only the camera samples of the OnePlus 12 have been shared by the brand as of now and the specs are kept under the wraps.
Nevertheless, the rumor mill has been hinting the camera upgrades which we will possibly see with the OnePlus 12. The latest generation OnePlus flagship phone will be equipped with an OmniVision OV64B lens. It will be a 64MP sensor periscope telephoto lens with 1/2-inch pixel lens size.
Furthermore, this periscope telephoto sensor is said to feature an f/2.5 aperture and have 70mm focal length. The OnePlus 12’s camera setup is further tipped to come with 3x optical zoom support and will also feature OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for enhanced photography. The remaining camera sensors hinted by the rumor mill includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS (main sensor) which will be accompanied by a 48MP ultra-wide-angle sensor.

Tipster Digital Chat Station suggests the OnePlus 12 will debut by November this year. This is contradictory to the previous leaks which tipped December 2023 launch timeline for the OnePlus 12. We still need verification from OnePlus on this particular information.
As for the leaked specs, the upcoming OnePlus 12 is already confirmed to be powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It is expected to be available with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration (base variant). The camera hardware is mentioned above.
The display panel will use a new OLED technology and the resolution supported will be 2K. The OnePlus 12 is said to be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery pack and 50W fast charging. Notably, the fast charging speeds tipped is lower than the previous-gen models.
