OPPO is working on the next-generation Reno series phones called the Reno8 The successor to the Reno7 Pro series is getting released this year itself. OPPO is expected to bring at least three different models to the upcoming premium mid-tier Android lineup. The vanilla Reno8 is rumored to debut alongside the Reno8 Pro and the affordable Reno8 Lite variant. Until now, we have received several updates that reveal the upcoming Reno8 series India launch timeline along with the key features of the standard Reno8 and the Reno8 Pro. But now, the rumor mill has spilled beans on the Reno8 Lite 5G’s design. The leaked renders hint at a rebadged version of two recent popular OPPO Handsets. Check out the details here:
OPPO Reno8 Lite 5G New Leak Hints A Rebranded Reno7 Lite/ Oppo F21 Pro
The OPPO Reno8 Lite fresh renders have been leaked by a tipster called @_snoopytech_ on Twitter. The tweet shared by the tipster shows the entire design aspect of the Reno8 Lite. The rear panel as well as the fascia of the upcoming Reno8 series affordable model has been shared. The render images show a tall front panel that has a thin bezel profile.
Only the chin is slightly thicker compared to the remaining borders. The front panel can be seen sporting a punch-hole camera cutout on the top left corner for the selfie snapper. The Reno8 Lite’s back panel is seen with a vertical camera module that has two large and one small sensor along with an LED flash.
Two color options have also been confirmed by the leaked Reno8 Lite 5G renders. The device will be available in a black and iridescent shade. The renders show a familiar design language. The Reno8 Lite 5G seems a rip-off of its predecessor, i.e, the Reno7 Lite. Notably, the OPPO F21 Pro which is a rebranded version of the Reno7 Lite also has the same design. This leak suggests the Reno8 Pro might not come with any major design changes compared to the Reno7 Lite or the OPPO F21 Pro.
But besides the design, this new leak doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming Reno series phone. Only the Reno8 Lite 5G moniker has been confirmed besides the design which suggests the affordable Reno8 variant will be backed by 5G network support. There is still some confusion related to the Reno8 Lite’s hardware.
Not many details have been revealed by the leaks or the tipsters. It can’t be said at the moment if the upcoming Reno8 Lite 5G will be packed with a similar set of features as the Reno7 Lite 5G. That’s considering the fresh leak has shown an identical design language as the previous-gen model and the OPPO F21 Pro. But we believe OPPO will introduce the Reno8 Lite 5G with upgraded hardware. We are expecting some changes at least in the camera and processor department.
Just to recap, the Reno7 Lite 5G debuted with the octa-core Snapdragon 695 5G processor. It remains to be seen if the Reno8 Lite 5G employs a slightly more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon series processor or a new-generation MediaTek Dimensity series chipset. We might get some more clues related to the Reno8 Lite 5G’s hardware specification. Its availability is anticipated in June this year. We will confirm all the details once available.
