Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9 Pro Plus Global Launch Scheduled For February 2022; What Are The Features Expected?

Realme is currently all occupied with its first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC-powered GT 2 Pro’s launch. But that’s not all Realme has in store for the audience. The company is expected to revamp its affordable smartphone lineup with the launch of the Realme 9 series. This time we might get to see an additional Realme 9 Pro+ model alongside the Realme 9 Pro and the vanilla Realme 9. Their launch is tipped for next month itself in the global market. Below are the details:

Realme 9 Series Global Launch Scheduled For February 2022

We have come across multiple sightings of the upcoming Realme 9 series via leaks in the last few months. The Realme 9 Pro and the Realme 9 Pro+ have made more appearances compared to the vanilla model. Now, as per a new report via 91Mobiles, both Realme 9 Pro and the Realme 9 Pro+ will be launched globally in February 2022. Both handsets will be backed by 5G network support which is gradually becoming a new norm in the budget mobile space.

The publication has received this information from some of its sources. The report further states the Realme 9 Pro will bear the RMX3472 model number, while the Realme 9 Pro+ will carry the RMX3393 model number. This corroborates with the listings of both these handsets at different mobile authentication platforms. The publication has also tipped the Realme 9 Pro+ and the Realme 9 Pro’s India launch soon after the global announcement in February 2022 itself.

Notably, the company has also shared the timeline for the Realme 9 series’ launch in the global as well as the Indian market and not the specific date. For the latter, we will have to wait for an official teaser or promotional poster leak.

Realme 9 Series Rumored Specifications

Both the aforementioned Realme 9 series models aren’t really a newbie at the leaks factory. As per the leaks, the Realme 9 Pro+ will likely be using the Dimensity 920 processor, while the Realme 9 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 810 SoC. This is just speculation and the exact processor details are unspecified as of now. We might get to see a 50MP main camera on one of the variants and 65W fast charging on both.
