Samsung Galaxy A series will soon get a new player in the form of the Galaxy A53. The upcoming model will be a successor to the Galaxy A52 and will be catering to the premium mid-tier audience across the globe. The handset has been subject to several leaks with the most recent rumor hinting at the missing 3.5mm headphone jack. Now, a new leak has made it to the web, showing the Galaxy A53’s live renders. Has Samsung indeed removed the headphone jack connectivity option from its next mid-range Galaxy A series phone? Let’s find out:
Samsung Galaxy A53 Live Images Shows Design In Full Glory
The Samsung Galaxy A53 live images have been shared by an international tech website kujemprodajem.com. Starting with the fascia, the Galaxy A53 has an in-display camera cutout (punch-hole) positioned at the center-top of the panel. The bezel profile seems narrow on all corners including the chin.
Moving to the Galaxy A53’s rear panel, the images show a single-tone gradient white panel. The vertical camera setup is placed on the upper left corner of the back panel. The module has a similar design language as the previous-generation Galaxy A series phone. The images also show both power and the volume keys positioning on the right panel.
The left panel would likely be housing the SIM card tray which is yet to be confirmed if is hybrid or a dedicated 3-way SIM slot. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A53’s new leaked live images don’t confirm the previous report of the missing 3.5mm headphone jack. Therefore, we might have to wait for the official launch to be sure of this hardware feature.
Nevertheless, smartphone OEMs have been currently removing the 3.5mm headphone jack from premium range devices. This is rather a newer trend with the brands to skip the headphone jack from mid-range and affordable phones which might take a while to become a norm.
That said, in addition to the design, the leaks have given a fair insight into the key specifications of the Galaxy A53. Samsung is said to use the in-house Exynos 1280 processor to power the next Galaxy A series phone. The Galaxy A53 is said to feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display that will support a 120Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ screen resolution.
Other known Galaxy A53 features include quad-rear cameras with a 64MP main sensor and OIS, while for selfies it will employ a 32MP camera upfront. The Galaxy A53 will be an IP67 certified phone which will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery clubbed with 25W fast charging.
