Xiaomi’s third foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, is all set to make its debut in China on August 14, 2023. The upcoming device is slated to succeed its predecessors, the Mix Fold 2 and Mi Mix Fold, rolled out in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Xiaomi CEO Announces Launch Date
Lei Jun, the founder, and CEO of Xiaomi, took to Weibo, the Chinese microblogging platform, to share the big news regarding the Mix Fold 3’s launch date. Along with the announcement, a captivating marketing poster was unveiled, bearing the tagline, “defining a new standard for the second half of folding screen.” The much-anticipated launch event, scheduled for 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST), will feature Lei Jun’s customary annual address on the company’s endeavors.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 First Look
On Weibo, Xiaomi treated enthusiasts to a first look at the Mix Fold 3 through renders showcasing both its folded and unfolded states. These renders exhibit the device in elegant black and cream shades, with gently curved corners. Notably, the Mix Fold 3 boasts a larger square-shaped camera module in contrast to its predecessors, which accommodates four sensors, an LED flash, and the iconic Leica emblem.

Display And Performance (Expected)
Insider sources suggest the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will sport an inner display measuring 8.02 inches with full-HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) and an additional 6.5-inch cover panel. Both screens are expected to deliver a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Powering the device could be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, combined with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The Mix Fold 3 is also likely to house a 4,800mAh battery, offering 50W or 67W wired fast charging support.
