Longer Videos
- Up to three minutes of Shorts can now be uploaded by creators
- By doing this, YouTube is able to overtake TikTok, where users can upload videos that are up to 60 minutes long
Updated Shorts Player
- The Shorts player has a new design that makes the videos stand out
- Interaction buttons (like comment and share) are now outlined, so they take up less space on the screen
- Names and sound details about the creator are moved at the bottom. This will free up more space for the actual video
- Video descriptions are shorter, requiring users to click “more” to see the full text
New Templates For Easy Trend Participation
- YouTube has added templates that allow creators to join trends faster
- Users can now remix a Short by selecting ‘Use this template’ from the ‘Remix’ option
- Creators will be able to directly pull clips from videos or music using the Shorts camera
New Trends Page On Mobile

Preview Comments In The Shorts Feed
